I am in the process of a clutch job on my 1953 Super M. With regard to resurfacing the flywheel, didn't you say the relationship between the two surfaces should be 1.406 inches?
Thanks.

Sounds like you two are pretty knowledgeable when it comes to clutches. The clutch in my H seems to engage almost immediately when you begin to let off the pedal. Is this something I can adjust or am I going to have to start replacing things in there?

I've had it apart for other reasons before, but don't know much about my options in this case.

Eric: I am not an H expert on clutches, but the rod from the pedal to the fulcrum is adjustable. Did you check it? Also, there should be 1 + 1/8 inches of free play before you start feeling pressure as you depress the clutch. Measure off the front of the deck. This is a critical measurement. Hope this helps. mike
