i have found a solution, take and mount a secondary valve on the side of the tractor, cut into the pressure side of the pump and run a line directly into the behlens unit, leave the hose unhooked from the tractor valve, run the other port bact to the other end of the tube u cut so excess oil can go to sump
 
Just got done hooking up a Power Steering unit on my 1952 SM Diesel. I installed a pressure reducer/diverter much like you did. I purchased mine from Force America (Eaton). They are located in FT.Dodge, Iowa. Paid approx. $75.00
