Just love these two old guys.

When they are running, it sounds like a couple of overgrown cats a purrin'. :>)

I,m with you on the M.Just love the sound of one pulling a load. Not so much with the H. Also love the sound of the F-20 under load.

I have two cats next to me right bow. (leaning on me purring to viabrate the world. That M was one sweet purchase. Jim

Some real nice tractors Allan. I love the Farmall H tractors, I like M's too. Did you just get that H or did you have it before? I've never seen you post pics of it. Nice tractors.

I grew up on a Farmall M and the sound of one, particularly when that governor opens up, really makes my "putter flutter!"

When we would fill our upright silo, we used the M with a belt to run the Allis Chalmers silage blower. It was quite an art to get the belt the right tension and keep it running true. Anyway, my dad would always put a piece of drive shaft tubing on in place of the muffler. He told my two boys that it was the "dog pipe" cause it would make the ole M "bark". Good memories.

Allan, Everytime you post pictures it makes me want to get in the car and head west for big sky country. When I drive in SW Michigan all I see is one row of trees after another.

Are both of those fronts factory IH?

No,

They are both aftermarket Swartz(sp?). The H has the standard duty one and the M has the heavy duty type. Think the only difference is the tie rods and hubs.

I really, really like 'em. Those tractors will both spin around in their own footprint.

Allan, I envy your Schwartz WFE's 8) One day I need to bite the bullet and buy one from Rusty. The old worn out Speeco I have on my F504 along with its crudely built bolster and welded tie rod ends is in poor shape. Not to mention the spindle upright bearings/bushings are shot causing interesting slack. When I start cleaning up behind the dozers and trackhoe on 49 acres, between the rough ground and the new loader it is going to fail me. I think a new one is money ahead over a rebuild and fabrication of a wishbone brace. Not to mention I think this axle came from a smaller tractor.

Yes sir!! I agree. I have a 1950 model H and use it to rake hay. Sometimes in the winter I just start her up so I can listen to it run.
