Length of draw bar for Farmall H

Can some one give me the measurement of swinging drawbar from the outer support bolt to the drawpin hole as mine has been replaced with one from an M and is a real shin catcher need to shorten

Paul: Proper length from end of PTO shaft is 16". It's all hinged on PTO operation for turning. It will still hit your shin.
 
Do not shorten the drawbar!!! Take an extra wide swing around the drawbar and save your shins and the drawbar!! Armand
 
For sure,

They're not even close and will not interchange due to thickness, pin size and the drawbar angle.

I would not shorten it.When I use the over run clutch the extra length makes the pto shaft about right.Front hole size is the same.Had to mill about 1/16 inch off the drawbar to get a little clearance in the front clevis.About 2 strokes in the press made the angle just right.

Thanks for the info mine is 21" from the end of pto shaft and really is not a big shin problem but just looked a lot longer than necessary will leave as is it is not the original as my Dad replaced it at one point as original U broke at centre hole so was welded and Drill plate adapter bolted on then he decided to use furrow straighter lever so replaced U and swinging bar and believe he traded with neighbour who had only a M
