560 Frontend Loader

I just bought a 560lp, it has a wide frontend, what brand of frontend loader should I look for to put on it? I need a good used loader.

I'm with Hal.

Just about anything except an IH. Too darned much deadweight on their models.

Allied, Westindorf, Woods/Dual, etc.

Did you see that one Harley has on his M? Sure looks to be a sweet little loader. T-20 I think?

Yes, and if I had some extra cash just lying around, I'd do the same thing. Those Westendorfs are very well engineered and built and the folks where tey build them are very knowledgeable and super friendly.

I bet they are right about West//. But there are other loaders out there. Depends on how much you want to spend. Sometimes the loader will cost you more than the tractor is worth. I just bought a New Idea # 504 for my 656. Reason was the price and also it came off of a 656 without any mods having done to it. It is in excellent shape and has been kept out of the weather. I am sure the 504 loader would fit right up to your tractor. May not be the heavest loader made but is sure built OK and to heck with paying 3 to 4 thousand for a loader on a tractor over 45+ years. Anyway look hard, and you will find one if you are patient.

If used are still in consideration, I always thought FarmHand F11's looked good on Farmalls. Something about an H with an F10 doesn't look too bad either despite the F10's ugly [IMHO] framework and gets a few more feet up, but I don't recalling seeing one on a 560 and suspect it'd be ugly :lol: if it was.

I had an F11 on an H [that was abused before I had it, is getting abused now and I understand still going] and still have one on a 460, not the heaviest loader out there but always treated me well. I'm thinking the one on the 460 is getting due for seals, but after probably 40 years that's not bad. On the downside, they're now owned by Agco, so I can't say whether you'd have a parts dealer very close or not; I thought parts are a bit spendy though at the closest dealer here.
