What's a 300 utility worth?

A friend has a 300 utility for sale- painted 5-6 years ago, looks pretty good. Wheels are good, tires not the best, but useable. Has a 2-way loader on it that looks sturdy. No PTO or 3-point, but has a homade lift on the rear operated by 2 cylinders. Motor is loose, but not running. Has sat for 2 years inside. What do you think it should be worth? Thanks

Sorry to say this but these tractors vary tremendously. I've seen one with both the engine and rear end locked up solid sell for $2500. With no PTO, 3 point and not running, I wouldn't recommend you offer more than $500 for the tractor. Loader probably makes it worth a bit more, but I wouldn't go over $1000 unless you know what might need to be done to get it running. Front end and steering are apparently weak points with this model, especially with a loader installed.

Does it have power steering?? If it doesn't then the loader will make it even more of a pain the steer since those tractors and known for there very hard steering. In that shape probably $250-500. We picked one up about 4 years ago, no power steering or loader and payed $100 for it, and it had 3 point and live PTO

I agree with the others. Max 1000, if it has good compression with a squirt of oil into each cylinder.
Between 90 and 125PSI. JimN

Those are tough little tractors. If it has a loader and does not have power steering, check that steering box closely; that is a weak point, and replacements are hard to find.

Thanks for all the replies. He's wanting $1100 for it, and I wouldn't have a problem with that, if I could hear it run. It's not a bad looking tractor. Thanks again.
