would like to know about pressure regulato-reducer required to install behlen power steerin unit on 400 farmall. got unit for nothing and would like to install

You'll need to use a belt driven power steering pump or use a flow divider on the hydraulic pump. In addition to the steering motor that you have, the factory set up used a different priority valve, different inside remote valve, U-shaped jumper line, etc. (all the stuff in the picture).

(quoted from post at 19:19:17 10/24/08) sooo it would be better to use seperate pump? what kind of pressure is okay, what is too much.

Since all you have is the steering motor, the easiest route to go would probably be a belt drivent pump. There was a pump mount that attached to the governor and used a Ford PS pump. I think that may have been the Charlynn set up. Sorry I can't be more help. I added to factory set up to my 350 and that's all I've ever messed with.
