460 Hydraulic - Loader

Brown Cow

New User
When I raise or lower the loader on my 460, oil shoots out the plug on the loader arm. this happens only on the right side.

I don't know anything about hydraulics - What does this mean?

Thank you

The cylinder seals are shot. Oil is seeping past the piston and coming out the vent. You need to remove the cylinder, take it to a hydraulic shop, and have it rebuilt with new seals and O-rings.

May as well have both done, because the other one is probably not far behind.

Thanks for the information - I don't use this tractor very often, but the oil squirting out bothers me.
