Do these tires make my tractor look fat? Update

I posted pictures several weeks ago of my C with the newly mounted dual rear tires, along with a few questions. I have now used it for a while and am pretty happy with the results.

Several people offered suggestions as to what I could do to improve the flotation on the front. The only thing I had time for was to remove the front wheel weights.

So, the verdict is:

Pluses:

Much better flotation, several times I went right through places where I could see the old single wheel rut from last year, filled with water.

Stability on the side hills, much lower "pucker factor" in places I didn't like before.

So far no place where the extra foot of width was too much.

Bonus: smoother ride on rough ground. It takes a bigger hole for the duals to fall into. Overall increased width reduces side to side shaking.

Better clearance on uneven ground as a result of the increased width.

Big Minus:

DUALS DO NOT MAKE UP FOR STUPIDITY. "Well I already went across there twice, I should be able to make it again." WRONG!!! The whole event followed the same sickening scenario as getting stuck without duals, the front wheels sunk in to the point where they were no longer turning, and started pushing up a pile of mud and sod. The rears started spinning and dug themselves in until the mower frame was resting on the ground, end of story. Farmall 560 and forty feet of chain cured that. Sorry no pictures, I forgot and left the camera in the pickup.

You are aware that using the brakes to help you turn does help keep the ruts down, as well as slowing down when you turn. just an observation. Oh, one more thing, I think the thing looks cool like that!

I saw this post the first time around. It rekindled the flame in my mind of using a second set of cast wheels and dualing out my F504 diesel. I put a loader on it and it seems logical that duals will help. Not just in traction, but surface area and stability. If I had duals I could also drain out the water. Would it hurt me in the hay fields???
