Oil in air cleaner

I know this is simple but I try to do things right. How much oil should be in the air cleaner cup. There are three holes in the side of the center cup, should it be above those holes, so the center is full as well?

Should be a oil line on out side of the cup

Look for the "OIL LEVEL" line on the oil cup. Fill the cup to the mark with the same kind of oil you use in the crankcase.

Thanks again guys!
I did fill it that way initially and had trouble starting. I read a post that had too much oil in the cleaner causing hard starting. In doing my trouble shooting I removed the air cleaner all together. My starting trouble was mainly mag timing. Thought I better check for oil level too.
When your having fun its too easy to over think it.
