Got ahead of myself

I was all proud of myself after mounting the bolster back on the old H. I balanced it while the wife adjusted the tire pressure to align it with the side rails. As I stood back looking at the shiny new looking front end I noticed the hand crank shaft hanging on the wall behind it. Dang it.

At least you was able to remove the hand crank assyembly. I tried while I had the bolster off, but finally gave up. Harley

Kinda like crankin' and fiddlin' fer a half-hour before you notice the distributor rotor layin' up on the deck by your brake pedals??

I've not done that yet, but I kept fiddling with the timing and plug wires, and kept getting deafened by my backfiring W-9, when I noticed I had the distributor cap on upside-down. And yes, the notch simply was not located properly but I just didn't catch it.

Or, how about completely rebuilding a chainsaw, only to find the wrist pin clips underneath when you pick it up.
