IH 444 Tractor Gearbox

HI guys.
I need a parts breakdown for the gearbox & clutch on my 444 tractor .
The PTO engagement is hit & miss & now the clutch WON'T disengage.
I'd like to see a diagram before I go in there.
Any help appreciated.

Hi Jim, it is a two stage clutch. Have you adjusted the clutch to spec?
When you say PTO is hit and miss, are you saying it is difficult to get PTO into gear with clutch pedal all the way to floor board?

On our 434, same as 444 the PTO got difficult to engage and it was the finger adjusting screws on pressure plate had worn a groove in the pressure plate and by rotating each screw 1/4 turn so it was out of the worn groove, fixed the problem. This can be done thru the inspection plate at bottom of bell housing.
