IH 756 Hydraulics Problem

My neighbor was having problems with the clutch on his 756. It acted like it was slipping. Now the power steering won't work. Is there any connection with the two problems.

Yea. As he may have a wore out PTO input shaft and if that goes then there is no go if the low side of the t/a is out . With the tractor running check and see if ya have the three point working and the PTO . IF not then ya need to split it and replace the clutch and PTO input along with the PTO input bearing and all the seals and O/Rings. If that is not it then ya have aproblem in the MCV valve or the MCV pump went south .
