Sparkplugs for SH

Autolite 386 would be great for an engine that is in real good shape, but if you need a hotter plug for a worn engine, or a tractor that isn't used much, then go with Autolite 3116. The equivalent is a Champion D21. I've had better luck over the years with the Autolite.

Champion D18Y. I use the D18Y Champions in all our Farmall letter series tractors and they have been the best for us. I myself have not had good luck with Autolites.

The current Autolite catalog skips a line or some other typo in the Farmall section. It showed 3076 (7/8ths thread) for our 400 gas!! So i used a 2005 catalog and it showed 3116.

what i said was the current book showed the wrong plugs 3076 with 7/8 inch thread. I was in a hurry, never opened the boxes. Found out when i got to the tractor i got the wrong ones. So the next week i had to reference an older book that showed the correct 3116 with 18mm thread. I fear the H may have been listed on that same line too.

bottom line, 2008 autolite catalog has a mistake in it!
