int 584 hydraulics

have a int 584 with 2250 loader lost power on down curl of bucket acts like floating position.all other positions have plenty of power.also when curling down will lift loader like old no power down loaders.any ideas
 
what, i cant understand what you are saying, you say you have no down pressure, and next line you say you have down pressure, rewrite question so it can be understood
 

Sounds as if the valve is leaking on the boom cylinders, when you are "dumping" the bucket it is lifting the boom up as the cylinders are not holding their pressure.

Does it have down pressure with out using the bucket?

May be a joystick linkage problem as well...
 
have plenty of down pressure just not in curl down
or bucket empty position if you have bucket on ground and curl down it will just lift up loader .curl up ok everything else fine.tnx
 

It is a joystick control? "UP" and "DUMP" , if the linkage was weak, when moving the joystick to the right, might be pulling up slightly on the boom hydraulic spool.
 
I'm also happy to see both Bernard & JimB2 contributing to these series tractors. I have a 784 & have utilized their expertise to resolve concerns based on other model comments. There are many similarities amongst these models. Now, if I could ONLY find a good source of rear wheels & other needed parts close to home (in lower eastern Michigan), I'd be all set.
