I recently posted a question about the storage of a Farmall 706 tractor. What I failed to mention was this tractor is a diesel. Does anyone have an addtional suggestions to what is in the owners manual. The other question is due to the nature of the new diesel fuel do I need to draion the fuel from the fuel tank and filters when storing this tractor.

All we do when we put the diesel tractors to bed for the winter is fill the fuel tanks and remove the batterys .And park them in the barn . then they set there till we need them in the spring . The tractor that gets the workout in the winter is the 706 gas .

Nope, just park them in the shed, you can take batteries out if you want, or charge good before storage, ya might unhook them after ya put a good charge in them. I had a diesel pickup I bought, had been sitting for 2 years, put batteries in it, hit the key, fired right up and I know there was nothing done to that truck when it was parked. anyway, shut out the lights, close the door, and go home. I have 5 gas tractors, I live in central IL, where it gets cold sometimes,I check the anti freeze, I put a 1/2 pint of Seafoam in each fuel tank, run them for 5 minutes, shut off the fuel and that is the way I park them for the winter.
