I bought the full set of decals for the 10-20 from the Fordson House. Where do they all go?? I have seen other tractors with the rectangular McCormick-Deering name on each side of the tractor. I have also seen the large square decals on the back of the fenders.

I saw the big warning label on the spark plug side of the value cover, with 5 warnings. Are these correct??

I assume that the purOlator decal goes on the oil filter. The 'gasoline' decal goes on the starting tank (what is the placement)

Where does the "always close needle valves before switching from one fuel to another..." go?

where does the "oil level" line decal go?

where does the 'disengage clutch before shifting...' decal go?

Where does the 'air cleaner' decal go?

thanks for the help!

early 10-2- had their model designation stenciled on the rear fenders and the double globe decal above them. decision no. 10, 1924, dictates that the 17x 2 inch mccormick-deering decal be applied to the hood side curtain above the louvers, below the hinge. when the louvers where made taller, the decal went on the hood sheet. the 10-20 model designation decal 10x5 inch goes on the rear of each fender. the "drain oil, oil valve lever" goes on the right side of the valve cover. " disengage the clutch" decal goes on the rear of the fuel tank. decision #1, may 16,1927 dictates the "oil level" on the aircleaner was in use, [on the oil cup]..decision # 28,sept 12, 1927 states the "always close needle valve " on the left side of the fuel tank. some archive photos show it on the rear of the fuel tank. early archive photos show the words, "water, kerosine, gasoline" stenciled on the respective tanks. although not mentioned in any decisions, the " gasoline" decal was placed on the rear of the fuel tank, below the filler neck. decision #55 states the "read instruction" decal on the upper part of the aircleaner. the RED purolator oil filter decal was applied to the 10-20 from 1930 onwards. the "open petcock " decal was applied by the cooling system drain on the block. the mccormick-deering {lettering] on the front of the tractor, on the radiator was painted white. pg

if you need the correct "oil valve levers",,,, "allways close needle valves",,,, "oil filter decal",,, bob currie in cal makes them. if you need the "drain cooling system",,,, "gasoline",,,, "read instruction" decals,,, , i make them. pg

the book " collectors originality guide, farmall, regular and f series" by hank will and todd markle, is a great book to read. covers all the f series tractors and corresponding standard treads. lots of information and photos. pg
