W9--Back on her feet

After pretty extensive repairs, at least for me, the W9 is ready for work. From my previous posts, I had to replace the inner axle bearings and the camshaft. Also spent quite a bit of time dressing the left-hand bull and bull pinion gears. The disintegrating bearing did quite a number on the teeth.

Runs and drives great. The rear end howls just a little bit, but nothing that I'll ever worry about--I know everything is in good shape in there.

The intermittent miss and loud tick from #2 cyl intake valve is gone. Somehow it was all tied into the cam, I think due to some damage I saw on the old part. (Had to set 1/4" tappet gap or the cylinder wouldn't fire) And I had the lifters resurfaced.

All that's left is to replace the front tires, which I have on hand.

Good to see ya got her up on all four tires again. When I went through my 560W I had to replace the ring and pinion and the four axle bearings. As far as bull gears, they were both showing wear so I just swapped them around, so forward is pretty tight now.

nice looking 9!!!! live pump too. heck of a lot of work going thru the differential on that old girl. great job!!
