farmall c sputters

I have a farmall c,while plowing last week, she started to sputter. Now every time i try starting it, it will stay running gor a few seconds and it dies. It sputters real bad. Before this it was running real good. Need help , what could be the problem.
Thanks George

Probable causes!
Points not adjusted correctly Turn engine with the dist (or mag) cap off and stop when the four lobed distributor cam is opening the points their widest. This might take putting it in High gear (IGN OFF)and rolling it until it is "on the cam lobe perfectly" The setting is .020" distributor, .013" Mag.
Fuel not getting to carb. open the carb drain into a can 8oz in 15 seconds is OK, less is plugged restricted flow.
Faulty ignition coil
Faulty condenser
Water condensation in distributor cap
Good luck! JimN

You gas tank is probably dirty, you have something in the outlet. Take a wire and run it thru the outlet opening. You have gas flow but it is not constant enough.

There are other things on the list above, and.
Wiggle the distributor shaft Up down and sideways (not in out) if you can move it detectably it is worn to the point of needing to be rebushed. JimN
