Hi, I've been directed to you because of your vast knowledge of IH engines and tractors !

I'm looking for information pertaining to bolt patterns at the rear of the engine block (where the adapter plate bolts to the block) of various International engines.

Generally, can you please describe which engines share which (rear) bolt pattern. Another words, does a M and a H share the same pattern ? Does a 263-301 share it's 6 bolt pattern with any other block ? Does the DT466 8 bolts pattern, only exist on the D414/D436/DT466... or is it shared on the D361/D407 block ? How about the German D358 diesel ? where does it fit in in terms of bolt pattern ?

Thanks a bunch

Mark

Just what in the Hello are ya tryen to do????? I H engines are just like any other mfg. each engine family is different . And and H engine ain't now way even close to and M engine . No if your tryen to make something fit hey anything is possible . I have seen 335 cumins in a W9 , 4-71 Detroits in a M and just about every big V 8 in just about every tractor knowen to man. So if ya got a good lathe , milling machine Drill press gas ax and a bunch of Lincoln ready bolt and a pile of old plow shears ya could even put a KTA 1150 in a cub.

You are refering to the rear engine support I think. I do know a 41 M and a 63 560 are the same, as I have put 345IH V8's in both of them.
