Late Fathers Tractor Update

Finally went back home and got some photos of it and a photo of the serial number. Don't know if any of the numbers are missing, but it looks like the serial number is FAA V 261835. The tires on the back are 36 inch diameter and the fronts are 19 inches.

is the tractor running? can you tell me more about the tractor? can you give me a phone number or something? i dont live to far away i am very interested

Hey Andy, I see you post on here quite a bit and always enjoy what you have to contribute. I somehow didn"t realize you were from MN though. What part of the state are you in?

I only ask because I"m from MN as well and I have an H and W4... so it"s fun to see the progress you guys make as you post. Plus, I could have seen you or your tractors somewhere and not even known it!

I live near Detroit Lakes, MN. I was at Rollag this year with my Farmall H and me and my Dad were at a tractor show in Park Rapids with our H's. My Dad bought a W-4 a little while back, our first Standard tractor project.

Are you really broke? Do you really need the money to put food on the table? Is the taxman knocking on the door? Kinda being a smarta*s. but some day your grandkids or nephews will really be glad you hung on to grandpaps tractor. Just my two pennies worth from someone who really appreciated things of the grandad I dont remember because he died when I was two.

im interested in buying it. could you give me some more info about the tractor and some contact info so i can inspect it in person. and i do pay cash.

Cool! I"m from Milaca originally (about 70 mi. straight north of the twin cities) and that"s where my tractors still are. I"ve never been to Rollag, because my family has always attended the White Pine Show (McGrath, MN) that weekend, but I hope to make it there in the next couple years.

My wife and I actually live in Rochester, MN right now, so I"ve been getting my tractor fix on this sight instead of in-person.

It would sure be fun to see some pictures of your W4 project as you work on it. I really love mine, and I had tons of fun restoring it.

Now if I had a thousand or dollars or so for a new set of tires I"d really have it made!

Take care!
