Cab swaps....

I have a 69 856 with the year round cab and I bought an 806 turbo that is in great shape with a cab that is just a cracker box. Will the year round cab fit on the 806 without much matching? I think it should, but I know there is bit of a difference between the two. And, my 856 has a Dual all loader on it that I would like to put on the 806. Are they pretty close in that area too. I was told the 856 frame is wider than the 806 and simple mods need to be done, which I can do pretty easy.

Pretty much the same tin work, frame and rearend on both tractors.

The cab will fit and so will the loader with little if any modification.

Dan: I agree with Gary. I could never see IH changed the chassis. I was farming when these tractors were new, and on quick look in dealers yard, only difference I could see was grill, decals and gear shift mechanism.

The only difference is the operator plateform clutch and brake pedals.
