I ordered some items recently and the parts were inexpensive and the shipping was fast. It certainly makes me want to order from them again in the future.

Just wondering if everyone else has had such a good experience.

How many people have ordered parts from YT? The correct answer is, "Many, many." And, they all seem happy with the service, too. mike

I just bought a clutch disc, rod bearings and a head gasket. My first purchase from them. Good service and I think the prices were as good or better than most. Geoff

JSharp: I live in Canada, now I understand YT will not ship to Canada, too much border hassel. Can anyone elaborate?

I have never tried to buy from YT, here in Canada, CaseIH or an independant aftermarket supplier will under sell YT by 20% or more. The auto parts retailers here look at you as though you had two heads if you ask for a tractor part. I suspect they either can't or refuse to compete with the other two.

i order stuff all the time from here, never had a problem ,and always quick getting here

I realized after starting this thread that it's kind of a sad state we've gotten accustomed to these days. It's so rare to see a vendor do a good job that it it gets mentioned when they do.

Hugh: My situation with the auto parts stores is unique and different than yours. My son runs an independent parts store and since we're in a big ag area they're used to getting ag parts requests and can provide most of the replaceable items. They also make hydraulic hoses etc. and have some stock of common parts. I was scrounging around in the back of the store one day and found an ancient but brand new Delco generator in a box that looks suspiciously like the one on my 404.

But yes, I'm sure a normal auto parts store wouldn't want to deal with tractors and wouldn't have a clue. Especially since most of the guys here are working on things that are older than any of the parts men... ;)

JSharp: This isn't exactly a faint of heart agricultural area. Probably 95% of all the land mass in SW ON is in ag crops.

An auto parts supplier told me, " If you want to loose your shirt in the auto parts business, in Canada, just go head to head with the major farm equipment manufacturers."

Yep, and service was fantastic! Got brakes for my H and M, steering wheel and assorted other goodies like radiator caps and gauges for both. all shipped quick.

You have to wonder why then don't you? I've noticed on other boards dealing with cars and motorcycles that parts, even things like oil seem to be really expensive in Canada. I never understood it myself. A good portion of the parts sold in the US in the past were probably made there. A person has to wonder why they weren't less expensive.

ive ordered several parts here neve a problem as of yet. i ordered some ford parts last friday night and they come this past tuesday. granit i just live about 45 miles from the tisco warehouse in Nashville only thing im not crazy about is YT's store online it could be a little more up to date as far as photos of their product

YT must be on the ball cause they are by far the fastest to get their orders in YT always gets me the parts from Tisco ant least 2 to 3 days faster than others even coming from the same wharehouse in Nashville

I have been well pleased with the parts I ordered from YT to restore my M. In fact they did not have Cam shaft, so they had one made for me.

J Sharp: I did not suggest any opinion about car parts. I can buy any tractor part still available through CaseIH, and buy it from CaseIH for less money than from any other source.

When it come to items no longer available at CaseIH, there is an aftermarket retailer not far from me. His prices are always less than O.E.M., Steiners, YT, etc., you name it, he'll come in less.

I'm just surprised is all I was saying. The CaseIH dealers here are very proud of their parts. I haven't bought a lot of parts but I've found just about anything that's available elsewhere is available cheaper than at the dealer.
