H light switch

I have a 6 volt h with original light switch. It was showing charge and the lights were working. I replaced all the wiring one wire at a time so I would'nt cross them. Now the lights don't work and the gauge shows no charge. Would appreciate any help to solve this problem.

Using an OHM meter check for ground as everything needs to have chassis ground. Did you polarize the gen? When you had the face off the control you mite have lost the ground there.

Check all the wire connections again. Make sure the battery cables are making good connection. You may need to polarize the generator too.
