International 185 LoBoy

Hey all. I've recently come across a 185 for sale, and need some advice on whether or not to buy it.

The tractor is in good shape with a 5 foot Woods finish mower. The owner has a complete set of bearings to rebuild the deck spindles, and an extra set of belts. The tractor has a new carb, seat, battery, front tires, and a few other things I don't recall right now. The only issues are that the front grill is damaged, and the transmission input shaft seal needs replacing. The front tires are new, and the rears are filled turf/ diamond tread with 'good tread' left on them, according to the current owner. The paint is in poor shape, as it was repainted with a brush, then significant portions of that have been pressure washed away.

It's supposed to run well and operate properly. I haven't had the chance to look at it in person yet. What would a fair price for a machine like this be, and does anyone know about how much it would weigh? Thanks!

I have a 185 that I got last year. I like it. It was in good shape when I got it. I paid $3000.00 for it from a dealer. It had an International Harvestor 5` mower deck on it and 3 point hitch.
As far as the one you are considering buying, the parts are worth something it would be better if they were installed. The grill is expensive to buy if you can find a replacement and I have heard the clutches for the P T O are expensive to repair. The grill shroud can be repaired with fibreglass. As far as the screen I have no idea. Paint can be done in the usual manner.
On mine someone in the past has cut out the area next to the right side of seat to put in a car battery, I guess they had garden tractor battery`s when new.
