super m head PROBLEMS

rebuilding a super m has a 8777db head . i put 4.125 step up pistons in when i put the head on the piston dome is hitting the head on the exhaust side. looks LIKE i can mill it off.I know it is not a super m head but can i make due.THANKS
 
Put a dab of modeling clay on the piston, set the head on (not bolted) then turn it to dent the clay. Use a Dremel or die grinder to remove enough material from the edge of the head combustion chamber to keep at least .062" of clearance. Do it for all cylinders. Avoid taking it off the pistons if possible. JimN
 
is this hitting when only checking for clearance without head gasket? if so use old head gasket for clearance check. neaghbor years ago souped up a dc case with high altitude pistons and had to run 2 head gaskets for clearance. note also had to run high test gas to keep it from pinging (detonating)
