Hi all,
I was gone to Wisconsin on the 1st and 2nd to pick up my 1938 Farmall F-20. It is a nice tractor, it has F&H 36" round spoke rear wheels and F&H cast front wheels. It has the PTO extension and overdrive too. Here is a picture of it. The serial number is FA-112762. I've been working on it some today, I cleaned the carb and put in a new kit, new plugs & wires, oil & filter and sediment bowl gasket. The engine has good compression and I tried starting it with my Farmall H off the belt pulley. It sounds like the timing is off, so I'll have to check that out. I don't think the magneto impulse is working either. I hope to have it running soon. I have a few questions that I will post soon.

Thanks,
Andy

nice tractor.looks like it has the same kind of seat that is on mine, a Knoedler I believe.I like it,a little easier on the spine.

Sweet looking tractor. I have a 1938 F-20 too. I love it. The bull gears make a hell of a grumble in it though. And the compression is sloppy as hell.
Mine has the aftermarket foot brakes that drop behind the axle, kinda make it easier to operate, ha ha.

I took off that seat today and put on a original style seat. The reason why is because the seat that was on it is pretty wore out. My Dad's John Deere B had a seat like that on it.

Thanks,
Andy

I have foot brakes on my F-20 now. I got foot brakes before I got the tractor picked up. I like the foot brakes better than the levers.

That is a fine specimen of a F-20. Though I think my next one will be a 6-cylinder diesel (560, 706, 806, ect)
