Help turning a Farmall B.N. to narrow rear like A

Does anyone have a short drive axle from A,SA to make my BN narrower? I was told it might make it a better Puller? thanks for any help. P.S. will the cast wieght still stay on right side?

ep if he was to be around Tn i would swap him id like to have that b housing on my old 40 A raking tractor
 
I don't see how putting more weight on one side would make it a better puller. Or are you looking for 2 of them?
 

If you put two short axles on, where would you sit?

At least in theory, the B series tractors are a bit unbalanced. Your butt is sitting over the right wheel. Bringing in the left wheel should balance out the traction.

Hugh always says that the As had the best traction to weight ratio of any letter-series Farmall, even if only slightly better than a B/BN. Pulling is a game of inches and tens of pounds.
 
I dunno, he is the one modifying it. I guess he can put the seat wherever he wants.

I've spent a lot of time on both As and Bs. From my experience, a B comes a lot closer to balanced than an A. I can't speak for Hugh. I know he has had a lot of experience with the offset Farmalls, but not sure he as with a B or BN.

i could be wrong but i think he wants the short side off a A which is the left side correct? the way i see it he is wanting a A with narrow front end thats the way i take it anyway :roll:
