sickle bar for a B

(quoted from post at 12:52:18 10/02/08) There are several that would work...

Easiest would be a pull type, the balanced head drive (pitmanless) would be a model 100 or 1100.

You could also have a semi-mount 120 that would work on a B.

There would also be some fully-mounted IH mowers that will work, such as a 110, 1110, etc.

Well, not really. As mentioned already the B does not have hydraulics, so most of what you mentioned wont work. The full mounted 1100 are for larger framed tractors (H & M).

You should probably look for a 16B, which is a fully mounted (rear) or a 25V or a 27V with a manual lift (semi mount).

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think there was ever a mid mount sickle bar mower for the B. I know there was one for the A, or maybe the SA.

Bah, just add hydraulics and get some darn work done!

Yes, I know it's an A - but same principle on a B.

I say again, the best choice would be a 100 or 1100 balanced head trailer mower. And a fully mounted mower would work on a B, just not with anything bigger than say a 5' bar.

This mounted mower on a C would work good on a B:
