I just acquired an A & don't have a manual yet, but would like to change out ALL fluids. I would like to know capacities, weights & recommended oils to use. Thanks

Don't delay on gettin the operator's manual which will have all this stuff, and lots of other useful info.

Motor takes five quarts. Take your pick of straight 30, 10-30, 10-40, but I'd favor straight 30 until you know what else might be goin' on. Filters are easy enough to come by.

Tranny takes five quarts of a heavy gear oil, 85, 90, 85-140. Be prepared for it to take less (and you might want to put off changing that in the absence of an obvious problem) if only because there's a good chance of having a lot of hard sludge taking up space in the bottom that will need to be cleaned out -- not a big or ugly job. That, and I'd recommend waiting for your manual to get there so you can find all the drain plugs and the plugs for checking the fill level. Again, nothin' ugly about it but they aren't exactly where you'd expect them to be. The PTO and belt pulley factor in for another pint.

The pans at the bottom of the final drives hold about a pint-and-a-half apiece. They require actually dropping the pan, and then refilling by nursing the oil in through the fill plug just above the pan on the final drive casting. That's a neglected spot, and a lot of times will require having new pan gaskets on hand as the old ones will be petrified and come apart when you drop the pans.

Change the motor oil right off. Never a bad idea. The others could probably benefit from being changed out, but be patient and do it right.

Scotty did a good job but i would add the tranny drain is under the tranny cant miss it. I would drain it and put a gallon of diesel in and run around for a short drive to do a good flushing. The tranny fill is the plug by the shift lever and level is behind the left brake rod. I like to use 150wt in tranny and final drives.
