I have a 42 H that came on steel and currently has the cut off rims on it. The rim hub is the four bolt type with jack bolt threads tapped into two locations on each hub. The jack bolt is a 3/4 fine thread and the thru bolts are 3/4 course threads. Three of the thru bolts have a square head and more modern hex nut on them. One bolt is the 3/4 jack bolt I am guessing as it is a fine thread. Can someone tell me what I should have to be authentic.

Thanks: Bill Perry

You might be able to see on this picture of my 42 H with cutoffs:

I'll check on my computer at home for better pictures...

Originaly they were all fine thread bolts, at least on several sets of steel wheels I have are. The ones pictured are the newer style and not like yours correct, yours are the stamped steel center like a f-12 or f-14.

It is hard for me to tell. The stamped and bent piece plus the spokes look the same. You may have the hubs and bolts on the inside where I can't see them. I will look at mine from a different direction and see if I can match up. I am the second owner and was told it came on steel i.e these rims and then cutoff and converted. The fronts were just jeplaced with the newer wheel.
