W6 rear end fluid

How do I check the rear end fluid on a W6? Where is the plug located? What weight oil is best? Seems so simple but its got me baffled!!

the w=6 is the same casting as an m. the oil level plug is on the left side on the transmission part of the casting. i use 140 weight gear oil so it won't leak as easy, but if you are going to use it much in cold weather 90 would probably be better. it holds 56 quarts.
