I JUST HAD THE ENGINE REBUILT. THEY DELIVERD THE TRACTOR WITHOUT THE PLATE UNDER THE FLYWHEEL. I NEED TO FIND ONE...ANY SUGGESTIONS.....ITS A TWO BOLT COVER...KINDA RECESSED

That cover is part number 50262DA. I suspect the same as on the W-4, but I only have the I-4 parts book. The one on my I-6 is only a piece of fairly thin metal and has a drain hole. And by the way, the W-6 part number is the same. Some of the salvage yards should have one or I don't think it would be a big deal to make one that would do the job.

Tell Me John M....this might sound strange...I have owned my I-4 for 20 years never added or changed transmission oil....do you do that? if so where
do you fill and what do you use?

Haas, this might sound strange...I have never changed my transmission oil....is there such a thing to do? if so do you have any idea where on my I-4 where I would drain and fill the transmission fluid??

There are two drains, one at the rear bottom below the PTO. The other is a the center front where the joint to the big U frame attaches to the transmission housing. The rear is the main drain. There is a level plug on the side. I think it's on the left side somewhere in the area of the brake pedal shaft. I'm not sure what the capacity is, but I think it would be the same as the Farmall H. I know the I-6 holds 14 gallons. I think the I-4 is probably about half of that. The data book I have does not show the transmission capacity.
