how to split a 460

I made a bad deal on a 460 diesel - now trying to make the best of it. It had a spun bearing and I am tearing it down to see if it is worth rebuilding. So far, bores and pistons look ok - bearings are standard- crank has one damaged journal- need to get that to the mahine shop to see if it can be repaired.

So, i am trying to split the bugger, and seem to hgave missed something - the engine does not want to part from the trans. are there some hidden bolts? I have the back half supported and the engine hanging from a cherry picker. Thanks

You are probably being hung up on the two bolts that come in tru the back of the torque tube or if you prefer the bellhousing on the top on the back side under the fuel tank above the starter .You have eight bolts holding the frame rails to the bellhousing from the ft and two on the back side on top. Plus there are a couple dowel pins that can at time be a little stubborn .
