any way to seal an oil or trans fluid leak without an expensive tear down and gasket replacement? jb weld maybe if completely dry?
 
Don't go there, If tightening the components does not help. It may need to be opened. Describe your leaks clearly and we can help. The number of leaks fixed on this board parallels those in an fleet of old wooden boats. JimN
 
jim, I have belly mower brackets attached to 2 bolt holes at the bottom,inside end of rear axel housing. it looks like fluid leak is coming from where the brackets are attached...the seals where the axels bolt to rear end do not appear to be wet to the extent of the amount of fluid leaking out. thanks for taking time to help
