air cleaner top

Has anyone ever put an air cleaner top in an electrolysis tank. I did not know if the mesh on the inside would stand up to it or not. The top has about 5 layers of paint and gunk on it. I built my own electrolysis and it takes paint off in about 24 hours.

yep sure have ive done a super a and a 140 the wire mesh come out nice and shiney once rinsed off with water least mine did

Just did mine last week.
It's a little banged up but I'll get it straightened out. The hood is in the tank right now.

Any tips for building an electrolysis tank?

battery charger, plastic tank, lye (caustic soda, sodium hydroxide, powder drain cleaner, all the same, 1/3 cup to 5 gal water), sacrificial electrode (any steel that you want to destroy, positive clamp on this, I use fencing steel t posts), put the part in the lye water and put negative clamp on part. watch bubbles come off part. that means it is working. Hydrogen gas. some people say to do in open area because of the gas. I do it in my barn with no problem.takes a couple of days. don't let sac steel touch part. good luck
