Rear Wheel Profiles ???

Hey guys ,
What is the profile called for My Farmall H rear rims?
I might have M rims on it as they measure 38 X 10 inch ...
Looking to buy a new rim .
one rim I found appears to be a double bevel ,
two steps downs and goes to 4" approx flat in the center . Doubt this will fit ?
the rims on the tractor seem be deep dish ?
What is important to clamp these down, are they interchangable I mean ..
I found a deep dish 11" wide rim for 226.00
the double beval one 150.00
Will the cheaper rim clamp , Does not look like it will ??

PS: The tires are 15-5 wide ..
 
Bob: All tires are stamped on sidewall for the ideal rim size. That suggested rim size will give the best traction, for that particular tire.

Farmall Hs and Ms used deep center drop rims, spicific to those tractors H probably used the 10" rim, I think M would be wider.

About the time Supers were introduced the double bead rim was also introduced. That same double bead rim was used by Deere, Oliver, Cockshutt, etc. and just about every manufacturer. The new rims were supplied by outside suppliers. You can't mix double bead rims on older type wheels.

You can however, change the wheels at the axles, thus your tractor could be equipped for double bead rims.

I just mow my yard and seldom anything else .
The tires are worn enough to be "turf" tires ..

Hey Bob,

A quick skim of this thread and I don't see anyone actually telling you what the profile of your rims is: DROP-CENTER.

"Double bevel" is another name for what Hugh calls "double bead." Bevel because the beads are a bevel "45 degrees" shape.

You would need the rear rims and wheels off a 300, 350, or 460 to fit your H with double-bevel rims, and 400, 450, or 560 to fit an M.

I think the drop center rims are the same on an H or M.
