Late Fathers Tractor

My dad passed away a few months ago and my mom wants to sell his tractor. He told me it was a high wheel model. It has 36 inch rims, decals gone so don't know if it is an A or Super A. Would kind of like to find out some more info, mainly if there were many of them made, and probably a good place to sell it.

If it has 36 inch rear tires and it is an A or Super A, it is an AV. The V stands for vegetable and it is a high clearance model designed for cultivating and farming tall crops. If it has hydraulics on it then it is a Super AV. The hydraulics consist of a unit with rockshaft arms on both sides of the tractor just in front of the battery. There is a metal tube hydraulic manifold on the righthand side that runs from the hydraulic control block and reservoir to a pump located at the front of the engine. If you will provide a serial number, then the year model can be determined. Serial number tag is located under seat on the LH seat support.

if its a high crop version, its either an av or suepr av. see if you can find the serial number plate and get the serial number, it should have a prefix of faav then a series of numbers. i think the serial number plate should be on the lower seat frame. if you stand at the back of the tractor directly behind the seat, the tag should be on the inside of the left seat bracket, just about at the deck level. get a flashlight, they are a bugger to find. then post the serial number, photos would help too. if you arent sure how to post photos, email them to me and i can post em for you.

If you have a place to store it you might consider hanging onto it. It is hard to get them back once sold. You see lots of posts on here saying they wish they had grandpops tractor back, but seldom a post saying they wished they had sold the darned thing.

There is also a serial# below #1 spark plug behind the throttle rod on a flat machined place it will start with letters FAA. What is the rear tire size and also fronts?
