Hardner in 2150 paint

I'm restoring an O-4. Ususally I paint my own tractors, but am having a body shop man do this one, since there is so much sheet metal. I never use hardner, but he was asking if he should put hardner in the IH 2150 paint, and if so, what kind and how much. Thanks!!!!!

The hardener sold by my IH dealer is a Valspar hardener... Valspar makes a couple of different hardeners... depends on whether the enamel you are shooting is alkyd or acrylic.

I would be sure to use the same brand of hardener, reducer, paint, and primer because it's all engineered to work right that way. Otherwise, things don't always work out chemically.

Also, as for the mixture, ask the people who sell you the paint. Every brand seems to be different in my experience.

Also, post some pics when you're done. I restored a W4 a couple years ago that I love, but an O4 is even better!
