Was shifting from Low to reverse and it felt like the linkage came off.Checked linkage its all ok. Shifting arm moves full range way too easy. The tractor is in netural and can not change it.The shifting arm that goes from 1-2-3-4 feels like its working. The torque amplifier arm is all the way forward PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP THANK YOU RAY

I am real poor help here, but hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chip in.

Take off the hood right in front of the throttle.
Blow all the junk off with an airhose. It's been so long, I kinda forget, but there is a shaft that has an "arm" on it. That broke loose on mine and I had to get it in the right gear, then weld the arm back to the shaft. with the hood off I hope you can work the shifter back and forth and see where the problem lays.

This was on a late model 706, but hope it helps.

Pin broke in th shifter shaft most likely buy the park linkage on the right side steering tower, put in a double roll pin or 1/4 in bolt, Gene hows it going, up my way stop in, Mike

That tractor was built with a shift fork held in place on the shift rail with a bolt through the fork and rail. If it still has the original shift rail, there is a good possibility that the rail broke through the bolt hole and the fork fell out of place.

A new shift rail can be installed from the rear through the access hole above the PTO. A short piece of 3/4" heater hose to hold the new rail on a pipe or shaft will allow you to each far enough forward to start the new rain in the hole in the rear frame.

It would be a good idea to update the park lock at the same time.

Got it torn down it was a cam pivot shaft .7485 O.D broke where the O-ring grove is. I hope that I can still buy the part at the IH dealer thank you all the HELP .Have a bless day RAY C
