Any suggestions on the torque for the water header cover bolts on an H? I used Hi Tack on all surfaces and have it at 15 lbs. right now. The bolts are only 5/16" so I'm a little paranoid about going too far. Thanks for any suggestions.

That is one of the things that is not critical, not like a head gasket for example. Just snug them. If I remember right that is a cork gasket, you don't want to compress it too much.

It's a fiber gasket of some kind, the cover on the other side is cork. I think I'll leave it where it is. After I let it sit awhile I could torque it again and get quite a bit out of it due to the gasket compressing over time. I feel like it will start to squeeze out if i keep going.

like the other guys said, dont tighten it any more, you will either squeeze the gasket out, break the bolts off or bend the tin.
