Thanks for the advice on c-123 water pump kit I will take your advice and get a compleate pump. I will put the kit on shelf to look upon and rememder your advice from now on. You live and learn I have seen several of your replys and take at heart. Thanks for your input. James

James: On this one, I was giving you my personal experience. In 2001, kit cost me close to same money as rebuilt pump, then I had to take it to a machine shop. I found out the rebuilt pump price two days later.

Rebuilts weren't always available. I know a friend added a pump to a C in the 80s. He had to find a pump then the kit.

I too agree with Hugh. My experience with rebuilding a water pump on a SM has been a total disaster. Bottom line: I've spent more to rebuild my pump than a aftermarket rebuilt one would have cost. Also, my pump is leaking antifreeze again.
