Found these for sale down the road and couldnt resist. Neither run yet but have found the problems (stuck valves and a couple of bent pushrods).
Farmall is new to me so I am doing a lot of reading. I found out 1 is 1950 and other is 48 or 49( from casting numbers, no serial tag). I noticed 1 has much wider tires than the other and the seat shock on 1 is behind the seat while the other is under the seat. Is this due to different year or options? I will try to post a picture.
Dont know my plans exactly. Would like to get them both running and then evaluate each. Probably restore 1 if I can afford the process. Looking forward to playing with them though.

Nice tractors! Sort of like what Gene said, you could become addicted to red pretty easily working on those two.

I have an H myself, but it's a '40 and it has yet another style seat on it. Sorry I can't answer your question, but thanks for posting the picture!

Sweet H's.. Ah grasshopper you will soon learn nothing beats the power of the Red side. I am also not sure about the seat deal.. I just finished a 51 H.. Lots of them out there so that means lots of part too.

One of the seats was an IH, the other was aftermarket Monroe --- I think.

Mine has the seat with the shock in the front...

Both of those seats are aftermarket Monroe, although on the 1950 it may have been a factory option. The one with the shock behind the seat is an earlier version. It was also used on quite a few John Deeres.

The seat with the shock in the middle was a factory option, later became standard. The one with the shock in the rear was aftermarket, sometimes dealer installed, as our 47 H came new with it.

here is a manual on the munroe e-z ride seat

Well after playing for a day or so, I got 1 running and driving. I had to rob a few parts off the other but well worth it. I'm going to tear the second 1 apart some and see if I can get it to run as well. Unfortunately I will have to get a few pushrods first. Dont want to pull the first 1 apart that far at this point. Any one have any for a good price or know of a good source? Also, thanks for all the replies to my original post. Lots of good info in them. Saved the pic on the seat, might just need it.

The push rods on those old engines can usually be straighten successfully. They are not hollow. Just use a hammer and a block of wood. Roll them to see where they still need a little more straightening.

I will certainly give it a try.
