Farmall Super A Clutch

I"m going to be replacing the clutch in my 1948 Farmall Super A and I was wondering if I should get the flywheel resurfaced before putting the new one in?

Everybody has different opinions on this, but if the flywheel is in good shape, you can smooth it out with emery paper and be fine. I've done this on trucks with good results. If the lining has worn off of the disc enough to cut into to the metal, though, it needs to be resurfaced.

Just a thought-

If you get your flywheel resurfaced, it might be worthwhile to get the 'two-step' job like was done for mine. That way, the pressure plate won't end up a few thousandths farther away form the flywheel surface.
Might be overkill, but a slipping clutch can be a bit nerve-wracking on a steep downhill!
