Super A cultivator bars

I have a 1951 Super A and the front cultivator bars (the ones the plow shanks attach to) are much shorter than some later model 140 s I have seen. Why is this?

i think they made different lenght ones. I think i seen some pictures of them with 3 sweeps attached.

cris: Banjo is correct, once you get into tool bars and ground working tools for these there were a wide range of options. Of the particular part you mention, I've seen at least 8 different ones. I'll bet there has been two dozen others fabricated by farmers since.
