Farmall A seat support

I will be adding a new set of seat springs on the A. Should there be a support bolt at the rear of the support frames to limit the travel of the leaf springs? Sort of an adjustable stop bolt?

Yes! If you do not use the bolt stop you may be replacing the springs again as they may break.

Good Evenin Tim,
I dont have any limiting bolts on either my A or my Super A, but Im only 175 lbs. I would try it like that and see how it works out for you after goin over a few bumps !

Sounds Right. I figure you should just float, and hit the stops only on the big bumps so as not to bend or break the springs.

I tried it without the bolt stop, i'm about 180lb. Worked for awhile till i got in some rough ground. Broke one of the springs, rewelded and installed the bolts.
