IH 600 Diesel Industrial.-How Rare are they?

Ive spotted a running one on upcoming auction.I dont have a clue what a guy might have to pay for it,or how rare they are.I know they didnt build a lot of 600 tractors,or how many diesels that were industrial versions>?

rated as a 4 star, possibly 5, if serious collectors get wind of it,you will have good compitition.its one of the real collector models.depends on condition could be 3000.00 to 6 or 7000.00. take 2 pocket fulls to be safe.good luck.

Does the tag have 620 on it?Ive got a 520,the industrial version of the 500.Mine is a 1954 model runs xlnt.I think is same eng as 600. Hoss

I have a book with those ratings in it -- I would not pay much attention to them, just the author's opinion based on his "research".

Hello,
Looking at my book I am showing they only made that tractor one year 1956. I have an IT manual on it and there is one picture, that is a sharp looking tractor. I see it has a 350CI engine in it. I would say that the tractor will go for a good buck.

Throw that book in trash! Those ratings at the time it was written were overrated. Well, now they may be right, but dont try to be special by quoting from an out-dated book.
