Learned My Lesson, Keys and Plowing

Turned the little garden in today and noticed I couldnt find my keys. Tore the house, shop, shed, barn, apart trying to find them, walked all over the place. I finally admitted to myself that they had to be somewhere in the little garden (about an acre). Went and got the metal detector and headphones and started walking and swinging, about a half hour later and about at the end of the line, I got a strong sound and pulled them out. Figures doesn't it, should have started at the other side, seems like something always happens when your trying to go somewhere.

Lucky day I guess,

Also take your cell phone off vibrate and to ring mode. Saw that happen once on vibrate and took about eight hours to find. David.........

Better yet... put the cell phone, wallet, keys on a bucket and get them after the work is done.

Ya, That would be a good idea but I have a farm dog running dear who's become a clepto, so far she's gotten 2 phones and a bunch of other shiney stuff. The first one, all that was left was a pirce of the cover, I found the second one intact at her stash spot. They were my buddies phones and I warned him. Now I empty all pockets in the house.

All my tractros have a toolbox on them. If I really need it with me in the field it goes in the toolbox whatever it may be, Cell phone, keys, etc. This is on my fender tractors, in the cabbed tractor it rides along with me in the cup holder. I"ve been in your shoes before and learned quick from that mistake. Good thing you found them.

Had same trouble with my wallet. The old metal seats tend to push them up and out of your back pocket. I now put mine in the tool box on the tractor when working in the field. Then when I need a part and head to town, oops no wallet.

We lost a log chain while plowing a field when I was a kid and could not find it. It "turned-up" the next year, saw it laying in the furrow on the next round. We used that chain for years after it had a long rest!:^)

I lost my wallet plowing a guys field last spring. Been looking for a plant out there with $20 bills on it all summer.

I know how that goes. I am now missing a pair of channelocks, and a dang expensive screwdriver and I know for a fact that they are somewhere in a three acre cornfield. Guess I'll have to watch for the screwdriver plant and the channelock tree to grow or hope to find them next year!!

If I lost my wallet, Be my luck all it would grow is more empty wallets.
