How many 706 LP were built?

I have an opportunity to add a Farmall 706 LP to our farmall line up. I haven't looked at the s/n but I know it is an early model w/ fast hitch and clam shell fenders. It has a narrow front, 18x34 rears, and I seem to remember that the 706 emblem has the LP initials with it. I haven't found a source that shows s/n for LP units.

I'm curious how many were built and how to determine a value on it as an antique. I think it runs, but hasn't been used much for the last 5 years so owner wants to sell it. LP gas tractors were not very common in our area of Indiana. Owner bought it used. How can I tell if it's an orginal LP or a modification kit?

Any thoughts or info is appreciated.

To tell if it is a factory LP look at the engine serial number. If there is a "C" in the serial number then according to the parts book it is a factory equipped LP tractor. I have one, down here in Texas, they aren't as rare.

Hi Silver Dollar:
I don't know how many were built, but If you do not buy this tractor, I would like to look at it. It might be something I might be interested in. Thanks
