Does anyone have any tips or ideas as what to look for on a Regular that is flooding. Carburetor was cleaned, new needle and seat and float. I believe I have float set right.
I appreciate any help.

I'd guess the float is hanging up and sticking. You may have to bend the arm or trim it off. If you trim it it may soak up with gas and sink. Or it might have sunk anyway.

You might consider replacing the cork float with one from a Kohler lawn mower carb. It worked for me. jim That way you will have a brass one which will not soak up gasoline.

Do not have a part #. Just remember that it was about the same dia and as far as modification, I soldered it onto the arm where the original cork float was fastened, just make sure it the length is the same. I think it was off a lawn mower engine, so it was more than likely a 10 to 18 hp. I am sure if you took the cork float to a dealer he would be able to match it close enough. jim

The specs that were packaged with my 10-20 carb kit were wrong as far as the float setting. If you look inside of the fuel bowl there is a machined grove that goes around the inside. Set float to that line. I think it was put there to make assembly easier for the line workers and for the sevice guys. Also check and be sure there isn't a drip of sealant on the float that rubs the side of the bowl. Had both of these things mess me up on one job. I used a fine tooth file to clean the drip off the float. After I set the float to the line, it ran super nice!
